Let the bridge wars begin! The Ambassador Bridge<\/a> has lost its title to the Blue Water Bridge<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Ambassador is no longer North America\u2019s busiest crossing for truck traffic. For every month in 2025, the Blue Water Bridge surpassed the Ambassador Bridge, with about 2.1 million commercial truck trips at Sarnia compared to roughly 1.9 million at Windsor. The trend is continuing into this year, with almost 35,000 more crossings in Sarnia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tolls for commercial trucks at the Ambassador Bridge are the highest in the region \u2014 up to $27 per axle \u2014 almost four times the $7 per axle at Blue Water Bridge and the proposed $12 an axle rate for Gordie Howe, whenever it opens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Canada’s Wonderland<\/a> will have a new chaperone policy this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone 15 and under will need to be with a chaperone aged 21 or older after 4 p.m. to enter or stay in the park. Each adult can supervise up to 10 kids, and must stay inside the park and be reachable at all times. The park says the rule could be enforced even earlier in the day if needed \u2014 and anyone who doesn\u2019t follow it could be removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The move comes after past issues with fights and unruly behaviour. Wonderland opens to passholders May 1st, and to the public May 3rd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
