This summer, enjoying a cold drink at the park is getting a whole lot easier in Ontario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The province is expanding alcohol rules to allow beer, wine, and spirits in most areas of the Ontario Provincial Parks<\/a>\u2014including picnic spots and beaches. Until now, alcohol was only allowed at campsites.<\/p>\n\n\n

The move is meant to enhance the park experience and boost tourism, with more than 13 million visitors hitting Ontario parks last year. There are still some restrictions\u2014no drinking near playgrounds or historic sites\u2014and wardens will be enforcing the rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Monday at the Berlin Zoo<\/a>, a very special birthday celebration was held for Fatou\u2014the world\u2019s oldest gorilla living in captivity.<\/p>\n\n\n

Fatou turned 69, enjoying a healthy feast of cherry tomatoes, beets and lettuce, but no cake, since sugar\u2019s off her menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She’s a western lowland gorilla, and has lived at the Berlin Zoo since 1959. She has far outlived the typical lifespan for gorillas in the wild. Fatou lives in her own enclosure, deals with a bit of arthritis\u2014but still showing plenty of personality. She can be friendly, and a little stubborn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
