Canadians must file their 2025 income tax returns by April 30 to avoid penalties and interest. Electronic filings are typically processed within about two weeks, while paper returns can take up to eight weeks or longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Self-employed individuals and their spouses or common-law partners have until June 15TH to file, but any taxes owing are still due April 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The chocolate chunk cookies topped with pink and blue icing smiles in Blenheim, Ridgetown, Tilbury and Thamesville, proceeds will support the VON\u2019s Ontario Student Nutrition Program<\/a>. In Chatham, Wallaceburg and Dresden, proceeds from the Smile Cookie sales will support the Children\u2019s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each cookie will cost $2. The 2025 campaign saw $22.6 million raised for different charities and community groups across the country. The cookies are available until Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don’t believe everything you read on the internet; Sharks are not on their way to the Great Lakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A viral post on social media stated that great white sharks are heading into the Great Lakes\u2014but experts say it\u2019s completely false. Great Lakes water is fresh and cold, conditions great whites simply can\u2019t survive in. Unlike species such as the bull shark, great whites can\u2019t adapt to freshwater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even getting there is nearly impossible. A shark would have to travel hundreds of miles inland, navigating a series of locks and barriers\u2014and somehow bypass Niagara Falls, which drops 167 feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back in 1937 in Alton, Illinois, a fishermen reportedly caught a five-foot bull shark hundreds of miles from the ocean. Some scientists say it\u2019s plausible, while others believe it may have been an elaborate hoax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
