Canada’s Snowbirds<\/a> will be grounded after the 2026 airshow season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Snowbirds\u2019 CT-114 Tutor jets will be retired after this season. This will mark the end of more than 50 years of flying the iconic red-and-white aerobatic aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A replacement aircraft will be introduced as part of a modernization plan, but it is not expected to enter service until the early 2030s. That means Canada will likely go several years without an official military aerobatic team during the transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swatch Watches<\/a> are trending again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swatch\u2019s new Royal Pop<\/a> pocket watch \u2014 created with luxury Swiss brand Audemars Piguet<\/a>, has sparked huge global demand because it offers the prestige of a brand whose normal watches cost around \u20ac20,000 (about $32,000 Canadian) but at a much lower \u20ac385 (about $600) price point. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They launched on Saturday and massive lines formed worldwide as buyers rushed to grab limited stock. Resellers quickly flipped the watches online for as much as \u20ac21,000 (roughly $33,500)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police intervened in cities including Paris and London after crowds became unmanageable. Swatch says supply is not limited and more watches are on the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ontario bars and restaurants will be allowed to serve alcohol until 4 a.m. during this summer\u2019s FIFA World Cup<\/a>. The temporary rule will be in place from June 11 to July 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The province says the change is meant to help fans enjoy late-night matches while boosting tourism, supporting hospitality workers, and increasing business activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Normally, last call in Ontario is 2 a.m., but during the tournament, establishments won\u2019t need special permits to extend their hours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select LCBO stores will also extend their operating hours during the same period, staying open later in the evenings as part of the temporary changes tied to the tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
