Known as \u201cThe Beast,\u201d the new Cadillac limo, built by General Motors<\/a>, is the first upgrade to the presidential state car since 2009. The sticker price is about $1.5 million.<\/p>\n

The limo carries medical supplies for the president on board in case he is injured, including a refrigerator full of the president\u2019s blood type.<\/p>\n

The Beast has walls that are at least 8-inches thick and is sealed against biochemical attacks. It has a night-vision system and can release tear gas, put out a smoke screen and has the capability of laying down an oil slick to make any vehicles that are chasing it lose control.<\/p>\n

The President can also dispatch codes to fire nuclear weapons from inside the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Instead of a gas pedal, it’s got a set of bicycle pedals. You also don’t use your feet to brake, you use a hand brake on the steering wheel.<\/p>\n

The people who created the car say you could burn 300 calories during your half-hour commute.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not clear when we\u2019ll be cruising in these new vehicles. They have an international patent on it, so we could see it over here at some point, but they’re planning to start by selling it in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n
