Windsor, Ontario ( 01/04/2026) — Residents of Windsor- Essex County are invited to discover the benefits of Taoist Tai Chi® practice. Join us for an Introductory sessions & Open House starting at 11am on April 28 or April 30, 2026 at the Fung Loy Kok Institute of Taoism’s Windsor Branch at 1367 Ouellette Ave Windsor, Ontario N8X 1J6. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about Taoist Tai Chi® arts, try some of the 108 movements in our unique set, and experience how regular tai chi practice has a positive impact on body, mind, and spirit. Whether you are looking to reduce stress, maintain health, or find deeper meaning, Taoist Tai Chi® arts can help at every stage of life.
Taoist Tai Chi® arts are deeply rooted in a spiritual tradition of self-cultivation and compassion. For more than 50 years, our volunteer instructors have been helping people around the world regain and maintain their health, improve balance, build strength, and experience a deep sense of inner calm. Through mindful practice, we learn that true strength lies in softness, patience, humility, and the ability to truly listen—both to ourselves and to others. Letting go, rather than holding on, becomes the foundation for transformation, as we shift from grasping to giving, and from performance to deep internal change.

Founded in Toronto in 1970 by Master Moy Lin Shin, Fung Loy Kok Institute of Taoism is a charitable, volunteer-based organization dedicated to helping people through the practice of Taoist Tai Chi® arts. Our volunteer instructors work together to fulfill the organization's mission—to make these transformational arts available to all. Arkells is a Juno Award-winning 5-piece rock band from Hamilton, Ontario. Their lead singer Max Kerman is joined by Mike DeAngelis, Nick Dika, Tim Oxford and Anthony Carone. Their first two albums Jackson Square (2008) and Michigan Left (2011) made a splash on the Canadian Indie Music scene. Their next album, High Noon (2014) had success in Canada (Gold certified), the U.S. and beyond. In 2016, Arkells released their fourth studio album titled Morning Report.
