According to a new study, our average body temperature fluctuates a LOT.  And a low-grade fever might not be a fever at all.

The whole 98.6 thing is based on a study from 150 years ago.  And the new study found the average temperature is really 97.7 degrees.  But slightly over 99 can be perfectly normal too, especially in kids.

In general, they run hotter than adults, and women run hotter than men.  And it also depends on what TIME you check your temperature.  If your kid’s at 99.1 early in the morning, they might be sick.  But if it’s mid-day, they might be fine.  If it’s hovering around 99.5 or higher though, they probably ARE sick.

Tourists who picnic on the streets of Florence, Italy will now be slapped with fines up to $580. The new rules have come into place as the city struggles to deal with the huge rise in tourists. The city is taking aim at tourists who eat Paninis and pizza on its streets, clogging them and leaving their rubbish behind.

The issue came to light when the owner of a shop had a fight with a family who were sitting down eating on his doorstep locals are now complaining that they can’t reach their properties because of so many tourists sitting on the ground. If tourists walk while eating their sandwich then they will escape the fine, but if they stop to enjoy the snack then the authorities are allowed to fine them.

TODAY’S GOOD NEWS

About a month ago, a 28-year-old woman in England named Charlotte Peart told her husband Daniel that she hit the lottery for over $300,000.  Then she laughed at him when he realized it was just a prank.

Apparently they pull pranks on each other a lot.  And this time, he fell for it.

Then early last week, she called him at work and claimed she’d won an even BIGGER jackpot.

It sounds like he was sick of it at that point.  Because he passed the phone off to someone else to let her screw with them.

But then she sent him a screenshot that showed they really HAD hit the lottery for a MILLION POUNDS . . . or just under $1.3 million.

They claimed their prize last Tuesday.  They’re planning to use a large chunk of the money to buy a bigger house.  And their three kids are pumped, because they finally get to have their own bedrooms.
