“On Wednesday, December 4th at 6:00PM, Sylvite Holdings Inc. finalized the purchase of Thompsons Limited’s Agronomy Division from The Andersons Inc., adding the accomplished business to our growing team.
Sylvite’s purchase of Thompsons Limited will allow both Sylvite and The Andersons to focus on their core businesses. Working closely with The Andersons, Sylvite hopes to ensure a seamless transition for all grower customers. Sylvite has purchased all farm services assets from the branch locations in Blenheim, Blacks Lane, Granton, Hensall, Kent Bridge, Mitchell, Norwich, Pain Court, Pontypool, and Port Albert.
With the purchase, Sylvite Agri-Service Ltd. grows its agri-services retail footprint from 5 to 15 locations throughout the Southwestern Ontario Region. With an increase in our agriculture and farm services locations, Sylvite is dedicated to providing continued excellence in customer service, enhanced service offerings throughout our larger network, and dependable agronomy recommendations to the farm community. This purchase touches many aspects of the Sylvite business from warehousing, trucking and infrastructure, proudly making Sylvite the largest independent wholesale and retail dealer in Ontario. Sylvite is confident in Ontario agricultures viability, health and growth as part of a significant and crucial role in the provincial economy.
