Dustin Lynch Asked To Join The Opry

Dustin Lynch is becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry. On Tuesday, August 21st, the singer was invited to become the newest member of the Opry family by member Trace Adkins, who himself was celebrating his 15th anniversary at the institution.

Lynch, who made his debuted at the Opry in 2012, thanked Adkins with a touch of humour: “Thank you! I wish you weren’t so big. I want to pick you up, but I couldn’t!”

He went on to thank his family and friends, concluding his portion of the show “with a frog in my throat and tears in my eyes.”
