Luke Bryan Opens Bar, Launches Record Label
September 12, 2018 12:01 pmLuke Bryan’s free concert in downtown Nashville on Monday, September 10th drew a crowd of 30,000 fans to celebrate the grand opening celebration of his new bar, Luke’s 32 Bridge Food + Drink.
The event began in the afternoon when Luke and his wife, Caroline, cut a camouflage ribbon to christen the opening of the bar followed by a press conference with media where Luke treated reporters to an acoustic performance of his 21st career Number One, “Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset,” which claims the top of the country singles charts this week. During the 90-minute concert, Luke performed with surprise guests Ryan Hurd and Cole Swindell.
Luke is the latest country star to open his own restaurant and music venue on lower Broadway in downtown Nashville, following in the footsteps of Florida Georgia Line, Alan Jackson, Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean. Luke told reporters:
“You know, what’s funny is we’re all having fun with this. I mean, we want to accentuate the history. We don’t want to interrupt the history of Broadway, but add another element to it and add a bigger scope. I just think it’s so fun that I look across the street and Blake’s bar is there and (FGL) and all the bars that are here. I mean, it’s all about the Country music fan experience, in my opinion — coming to Nashville and being able to come connect with some of their favourite artists. It’s gonna be fun watching this place fill up during Titans games and hockey games and all of the other things that are coming to Nashville. I feel really blessed to be down here and be a part of it.”
In other Luke news, he has started his own record label, called 32 Bridge Entertainment, which will be housed under Universal Music Group Nashville.
His first artist signed to the imprint is Jon Langston, who performed a few songs during Luke’s concert on Monday night. Jon’s debut single is called “When It Comes to Loving You” and fans can hear him perform it live when he joins Luke on his 2018 Farm Tour.
