Garth Brooks Ready To Make History

Garth Brooks makes Notre Dame history on Saturday, October 20th, as he becomes the first artist to perform a concert at the university’s stadium. He’s got a lot planned for the already sold-out crowd of 85,000, but mostly he’s just focused on bringing the music.

“I’m the king of cheese. I love it. I think it’s fun to entertain. I think it’s fun to surprise, so I’m gonna bring as much as I can. With that said, I want to reiterate Notre Dame will really, really be focused on the music. The Music 101 that we’re gonna show at Notre Dame might be the best one of all of them over the next three years, so just really focusing on the music and because it is this band’s last time to play together on stage in this configuration then we’ll have a real emotional night.”

Of course, Garth is referring to the three-year stadium tour that he just announced earlier this week. That run kicks off in the spring of next year, but exact dates and cities have yet to be announced.

The Notre Dame show will be filmed for a CBS-TV special called Garth: Live from Notre Dame!, which will air on December 2nd at 8 p.m.
