Luke Bryan wrapped his touring year on Friday, October 26th, delivering his 13th stadium show of 2018 to a sold-out crowd at Ford Field in Detroit.

This was the third time Luke closed his touring year at the home of the Detroit Lions. The superstar performed for 1.5 million fans in 2018.

Luke headlined more stadium shows this year than ever before, playing 13 of the biggest and best sports stadiums across North America in Toronto, New York City, Cincinnati, Tampa, Pittsburgh, Boston, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Denver, St. Louis, Chicago, Vancouver and Detroit. These shows were deemed the What Makes You Country Tour XL Stadium Sized, drawing 30,000 to 50,000 thousand fans at each stadium stop.

Luke told Billboard,

“Stadiums are a lot of work. You’ve gotta try to make 50,000 people feel like (they’re in) an intimate setting and an intimate environment. When you’re playing a 15,000-seat amphitheater, everybody’s right in front of you. When I get done with a stadium, I feel like I ran a marathon. There’s no just getting up there and nonchalantly making a stadium show happen. You gotta work hard at it.”
