Blake Shelton Announces New Tour

Blake Shelton has announced his tour for 2019 and it will include his friends and heroes, hence the name Friends & Heroes 2019 tour. He has tapped special guest Lauren Alaina for all 18 dates, with appearances by veterans the Bellamy Brothers, John Anderson and Trace Adkins. The tour gets underway on February 14th. Blake said,

“I’m really excited about my tour because it’s taking where I came from and the music I listened to growing up, and actually introducing it to a whole new audience. I feel like a lot of people might know the Bellamy Brothers’ and John Anderson’s music, but maybe they’re not familiar with who they are as artists. I think that this is going to be a great opportunity for the country music fan base to be re-introduced to these guys and, selfishly, I’m just excited to share the stage with them! It’ll be great to have Trace back out on the road with us, and I can’t wait for one of my newer friends and heroes, Lauren Alaina, to blow these crowds away.”

Blake has always shown his appreciation for the artists who paved the way for him, but he also likes to shine a light on those modern acts who represent the genre well. It’s kind of the same with Blake’s music. As far as he’s concerned, the superstar said he’s not quite sure how to define just where he fits into today’s ever-changing genre.

“Man, I don’t really know where I fit in in country music, because it kind of goes from here to there, I mean there’s all kinds of artists that fit in. There’s singer/songwriters, there’s the guys like me who it’s really hard to put your finger on what I do. I like that, but I don’t ever wanna have a specific area, because I like to be able to perform and sing all kinds of songs. Maybe I’m the wild card, maybe that’s how I fit in.”

Tickets and VIP experiences for Friends & Heroes 2019 will go on sale on November 9th at 10 a.m. Blake Shelton Fan Club members American Express Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning tomorrow Friday, November 2nd.
