Garth Brooks To Debut New Song At CMA Awards
November 8, 2018 5:41 amGarth Brooks’ performance on the CMA Awards next week is going to be a big surprise for his wife, Trisha Yearwood, as well as the rest of the world.
The unnamed song is brand spanking new and it’s 100 percent dedicated to his “queen,” as Garth often calls Trisha.
“There’s a song that we cut about two months ago. Me and the five guys and the engineer are the only people that’s heard it. I won’t play it for anybody else cause it’s a song (that) you’re not gonna believe it’s written by guys. It’s a song about the strength of a woman, and for me, it’s Trisha, so this is what’s stupid right here – what I offered to the CMA’s was let me sing this to her that night. She hasn’t heard it and she won’t hear it until that moment. Nobody will.”
The 52nd annual CMA Awards will air on Wednesday, November 14th on ABC beginning at 8 p.m.
Other performers include Jason Aldean with Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs, Midland, Brett Young, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley with Brothers Osborne, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line with Bebe Rexha, Kacey Musgraves, Old Dominion, Pistol Annies, Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, and Keith Urban.
