Sad news for River Town Saints fans. The group’s lead singer, Chris Labelle, is leaving the group, but RTS will continue on with a new lead singer.

Chris posted on Facebook:

“Don’t even know where to start with this post ? I’ve been thinking about it for awhile and finally came to the decision that my time with the River Town Saints has come to an end … Its been a fun ride and I got to play the biggest stages in Canada with 4 friends of mine and that’s something I’ll never forget … Something in my heart told me I need to do my own thing and I have so many lyrics to sing about on a personal level !!! THE BAND WILL CONTINUE WITH A NEW SINGER for all the fans out there and I wish them all the success in the world … Its scary because I’m all alone now 🙁Actually that’s not true I have the best wife in the world and she’s behind me 100 percent and believes in the music I’m making … Julie Catherine Labelle I love you so much … A huge thank you to Canadian Country Radio and the fans for supporting me , I really cant wait to share all the new stuff I’ve been working on but it will take some time to puzzle it all together …. RGK Entertainment / Open Rd Recordings you guys have been nothing but patient and professional the entire time and thank you for everything you’ve done for me , I wish you all the success in the world … talk soon.”

River Town Saints also shared a message on social media for fans.
