According to The Tennessean, Blake played for two hours, creating a set list from audience suggestions. He let them in on the news that he’s in the studio recording new music and decided that while he was in town, he should play a show.
“I swear that’s why we’re down here. We’ve got a tour about to start up, so it doesn’t hurt for me relearn some of my old stuff. There’s a good chance I could screw some of this up tonight. But who cares, man? Get a drink. Get me a drink. Get them a drink. Let’s just have some fun.”
In addition to his own hits and album cuts, Blake covered Conway Twitty’s “Goodbye Time” and the hit movie theme song, “Footloose.”
He was also joined on stage by former The Voice contestant RaeLynn who sang “God Made Girls,” as well as Pryor Baird, who got a four-chair turn on The Voice last year and was in the audience. Blake invited him up to perform a cover of Merle Haggard’s “Working Man Blues.”
