Dierks Bentley Working On TV Shows
January 17, 2019 5:22 amDierks Bentley recently revealed that he’s been working in a TV show for the Fox network, but now comes news that he’s got a second television project in the works, and it centres around his 90’s cover band, Hot Country Knights. Dierks told CMT,
“It’s more of a Spinal Tap meets Curb Your Enthusiasm kind of situation.” For that, he’s working with one of the main writers behind Modern Family. Dierks adds that nothing is in stone, however, saying, “I’m learning a lot about the TV business, but it’s like having a song on hold. You write a song, and somebody puts it on hold, but that doesn’t mean that it will make the record. It’s a long ways to go. We will see!”
The TV project that Dierks talked about last year centres around a bar in Nashville and its music business hopeful regulars who are all trying to make it big in Music City a la 1980’s sitcom Cheers.
Dierks is in Hamilton on Thursday, January 17th for the launch of his Burning Man tour.
