LANCO Releases New Music
March 23, 2019 7:00 amLANCO has released a brand new single called “Rival,” the first off their upcoming sophomore album. Described as an “anthem,” the song was co-written by LANCO frontman Brandon Lancaster and drummer Tripp Howell.
Brandon explains how the idea for “Rival” came about:
“You know, we were talking one night, kind of just about things that we felt we were kind of going through and then that kind of turned to a conversation about things we had gone through in our life and realizing, you know what, it doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from or what you’re doing in life, everyone has a moment where they feel like their back is against the wall and maybe people aren’t rooting for them and just kind of saying, ‘You know what? Let’s write this anthem that it’s important to tell people that you matter and that you’re important and be proud of who you are and be proud of where you come from and go do what you want in life, and if there is anyone who wants to stand in your way, that’s all right. That’s just reality and chalk ’em up as a rival and use ’em as motivation.'”
LANCO continues on the road with shows this weekend in Charlotte, NC; Greenville, SC; and Kissimmee, FL.
