George Strait Feature Grandson On Album
April 1, 2019 5:30 amGeorge Strait just released his brand new studio album, Honky Tonk Time Machine. For the new project, “King George” enlisted the help of a very special guest, his six-year-old grandson, Harvey, on the song “God and Country Music.”
George hopes this experience with Harvey won’t be a one-off.
“When I recorded this record, we did it in Key West and I had my grandson down there with me, and we went every day to the studio, and so he’d have to get his charts and lyrics and follow along with everybody else. But we ended up putting him on the song ‘God and Country Music,’ and he’s there on the end of it. It’s the first time I’ve ever got to sing with my grandson; maybe it’s the first of many.”
George is quickly moving up the country charts with his latest single, “Every Little Honky Tonk Bar”.
