Old Dominion Album Debuts At Top
November 5, 2019 5:27 amOld Dominion debuts at Number One this week on the Top Country Albums chart with their self-titled third album.
It’s the largest-streaming album debut by a country band this year with 13.7 million on-demand audio streams.
Trevor Rosen said this reinforces the band’s sense of confidence they had going into the making of Old Dominion.
“Once you build on some success — you know, we had a couple hit albums, we had some awards — you do hit a point where there is a confidence in the fact that if this is all we ever do this was great and it’s working, so you feel comfortable that you’re doing something right and you have a little confidence in your own ability, but then also I think the way the album was shaping up, that built the confidence even more.”
The band co-produced the album for the first time in their career alongside longtime collaborator Shane McAnally.
Their current single, “One Man Band,” is a Top Five hit and climbing on the country charts.
