Carrie Underwood Will NOT Host CMA Awards In 2020
December 31, 2019 5:10 amAfter 12 consecutive years of hosting the CMA Awards, Carrie Underwood is stepping aside.
She made the surprising announcement on Instagram on Monday, December 30th.
Carrie co-hosted the first 11 years with Brad Paisley and most recently worked alongside Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire.
In her post, she stated how lucky she was to have worked with Brad and called him her “partner in crime.” She went on to say this: “One of the highlights of 2019, and of my entire career so far, was being on stage with the legends that are Reba and Dolly Parton.”
As for a reason for leaving, she wrote:
