Old Dominion’s latest hit, “Some People Do,” was a personal wake up call for the group’s lead singer Matthew Ramsey, who is also a co-writer on the song.

While not getting into specifics, he revealed that immediately after finishing this song with Thomas Rhett and other co-writers, he decided to make a change.

“The moment that I reached for myself to ask for help was the day after I wrote this song, and this song made me want to be a better person and realized I need to be, and the next morning I made a phone call and started working on myself. I’m still working very hard.”

Old Dominion just released a mini-documentary behind the moving video for “Some People Do,” which spotlights celebrity men’s groomer, Jason Schneidman. As clients of Jason’s, Old Dominion learned his poignant story of formerly being homeless and, after overcoming drug addiction, turned his life around. In his spare time, he helps out the homeless of LA, providing haircuts as a means to connect with those who may be battling addiction issues, and funds scholarships to rehab centers.
