Billy Currington Celebrates ‘Summer Forever’ Album
June 10, 2020 9:59 amBilly Currington released his latest studio album, Summer Forever, five years ago this month.
The project has been certified gold and features the chart-topping hits “Don’t It,” “It Don’t Hurt Like It Used To,” and “Do I Make You Wanna.” To celebrate its anniversary, Billy has released a video highlighting the hit songs on the record.
At the time, Billy said he gave the project this particular title because it pretty well sums him up.
“I named the album Summer Forever partly because it’s my life – summer and sunshine, beach, ocean and all that – and I think some of the songs on the album reflect that, and it just felt like a great title. It’s the title of one of the songs on there, and when I was kinda going through the songs, one day it just hit me, like, ‘Man, that would be a perfect title for this album.’”
There is no word yet on when Billy plans to release his next studio album.
