K.T. Oslin Dies At 78
December 23, 2020 8:45 amK.T. Oslin died on Monday, December 21st at the age of 78.
Music Row reports that Oslin was suffering with Parkinson’s Disease and just last week, was diagnosed with COVID-19.
She was residing in an assisted living home at the time.
Her exact cause of death has not been released.
Oslin broke through at the age of 45 with her female anthem “80’s Ladies.”
The song helped her earn her two CMA Awards in 1988 for Female Vocalist and Song of the Year. O
slin’s collection of awards also includes Grammys and ACM Awards. Her other hits include “I’ll Always Come Back,” “Do Ya,” “Hold Me” and “Come Next Monday.”
Oslin became a member of the Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2014, and was welcomed into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2018.
Funeral arrangements for Oslin have not been made public.
