Chris Young & Kane Brown Celebrate “Famous Friends”
August 6, 2021 8:45 amChris Young and Kane Brown celebrated their recent multi-week chart-topper, “Famous Friends,” with staff at their record labels and management companies in downtown Nashville on Wednesday, August 4th.
Chris and Kane were each honoured with a Gold plaque for the song.
Chris said,
“I’m really, really proud of this song and had no idea that it was going to end up blowing up like it did, and I couldn’t be happier honestly that I get to have a hit on the radio with someone who’s been a friend of mine for a long time.”
Kane added,
“It’s a full-circle moment for me. You inspired me to get into music and we actually got to take this one to Number One.”
In addition, Chris was surprised with a triple Platinum plaque for “I’m Comin’ Over” and a Gold plaque for his album, Losing Sleep, including Platinum certification for his previous Number One, “Hangin’ On.”
