Cole Swindell Holding On To #1 Song
October 6, 2022 7:00 pmFor four weeks straight, Cole Swindell has held on to the #1 spot on the Billboard Country Airplay chart with “She Had Me At Heads Carolina.”
That makes him the only artist this year to do so.
Cole talked about why people love the song.
“We all grew up on nineties country and that’s what…to me this song is…I think it’s special because it’s from the first guitar lick, it takes you right back to hearing the original Jo Dee Messina one, so I’m just thankful that we have that one.”
Cole co-wrote it with Thomas Rhett, Ashley Gorley, Jesse Frasure, Mark D. Sanders, and Tim Nichols. Sanders and Nichols wrote “Heads Carolina, Tails California.”
