Kip Moore Planning A Benefit Concert For Hawaiian Wildfire Victims
August 11, 2023 5:55 amIf you haven’t been tracking the wildfires in Maui, it’s a serious situation, and Kip Moore has a special connection to the place.
When he was flat broke after college, he lived in a “little hut” in Hawaii and hitchhiked to the beach every day to surf.
He posted a video on Twitter yesterday and talked about the fires.
He said it’s still like “home” to him, and he has a lot of friends there. He wanted anyone watching from Maui to know people care, and that he realizes it’ll be “a long road back.” But he’s ready to help.
He’s already organizing a benefit concert, and rallying other artists to be part of it. He said he wants to do it as soon as possible.

He wrote, “Help is coming, Maui,” and linked to his charity, the One Heartbeat Hawaii Fund.
He launched it last year to help Hawaiians facing hard times.
