Glen Campbell To Be Honoured By Stars On Duets Album
February 4, 2024 7:00 amThe music of the late Glen Campbell will be celebrated with an album of posthumously created duets.
Glen Campbell Duets – Ghost On The Canvas Sessions, features Campbell – who died in 2017.
It showcases Glen sharing the mic with artists such as Eric Clapton, Elton John, Brian Wilson, Sting, Brian Setzer, Dolly Parton, and Eric Church.
Eric Clapton said…
“I’ve always admired Glen Campbell’s guitar playing and loved his singing. I was moved recently when one of his final performances, during his illness, came on TV.”
The project of 12 songs and 13 artists, revisits Campbell’s 2011 album Ghost On The Canvas, which was recorded following his diagnosis with Alzheimer’s disease.
The album release date is April 19.
Intended to be Campbell’s final recording, the album signalled a late-career flurry of activity that included a world tour, a documentary and an accompanying soundtrack, plus two more albums… 2013’s See You There and 2017’s Adiós.
