Morgan Wallen‘s lawyer appeared in court on his behalf on Friday, May 3, and called it a “very complicated case.”

Worrick Robinson told reporters,

“It’s not going to resolve itself without subpoenas and witnesses.”

Morgan is facing three felony charges after throwing a chair off the 6th-floor balcony of a Nashville bar that landed within feet of Metro police officers.

The incident is prompting the city to be aware of copycats.

Mayor Freddie O’Connel was asked about the safety implications of Wallen’s incident.

“We will see if we wind up making recommendations that should go to Metro Historic Zoning Commission.”

Following Friday’s hearing, the case has been “reset” to August 15, and according to his lawyer, Morgan will be in attendance.

Meanwhile, Chiefs, the bar where the chair-throwing incident took place, added a sign to their rooftop bar.
