There Could Be New Toby Keith Music On The Way

Jamey Johnson and Toby Keith were in the midst of writing sessions when he died of stomach cancer back in February, but unfortunately, nothing was finished.

He talked about it in a recent interview with Billboard.

“I don’t know what happens with the songs now. But I know some time is probably going to go by, and I might break them back out and revisit them later on.”

Jamey suggests that he could recruit some of Toby’s friends to help him work on them. But, quote,

“Right now . . . [we] are still hurting, and it’s probably not time to start trying to do that just yet.”

Jamey just released a 12-track album called Midnight Gasoline.
