Toby Keith Golf Tournament Raises Over $1 Million
June 29, 2025 7:00 amThe 21st annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic raised a remarkable $1.4 million this year.
Event host Sammy Hagar made an initial $10,000 donation, and over $100,000 was raised in the first two minutes of the gala.
The event, held at the Riverwind Casino in Norman, Oklahoma, featured a charitable golf tournament and a live auction that brought in an additional $600,000, with high-value items like a limited edition Toby Keith military guitar and a cowboy hat signed by George Strait fetching substantial bids.
The yearly fundraiser supports the Toby Keith Foundation, which was founded by Keith in 2006 to provide aid to children and their families dealing with critical illnesses.
Since its inception, the annual event has raised over $20 million, with last year’s contributions exceeding $3 million through the establishment of a new endowment fund.
Before he died in 2024, Keith called his charitable efforts “my best gift I’ve ever given to the world.”
