George Strait Fans Scammed Trying To Buy Benefit Tickets
July 28, 2025 8:30 amGeorge Strait’s flood relief benefit concert took place on Sunday, July 27 in Boerne, Texas, and it got major support from folks all over the world.
But sadly, it also got the attention of scammers.
A local couple lost $10,000 when they bought fake tickets to the sold-out show.
The scam looked real, right down to the graphics and wording from George’s official site.
But after they wired money for four tickets, they realized it was a fraud. The scammer had altered just one letter in an email address.
The couple says they’re less upset about their own loss and more heartbroken because the money meant for Texas flood victims was stolen.
And the couple had some harsh words for the scammer, who has still not been caught.
