Texas Tech Buddies Turn Their Friend’s Arrest Into A Viral Song

Two dudes named Slade and Cade may have just pulled off one of the most unlikely viral moments in college football.

Their roommates were the two Texas Tech students who got arrested after storming the field during the weather-delayed game against Oregon State.

And while their roommates were in jail, Slade and Cade did the smartest thing they could do… they wrote a song about it.

It’s called “Rush the Jones,” and it quickly racked up close to a million views on TikTok.

It’s sung in a Johnny Cash-style, which is perfect for the video of their buddy getting tackled by cops trying to escape the field.

And now there’s an update: the roommates are out of jail, they’re about to put the song on Spotify, and t-shirts are on the way.

All the money from shirts will go toward covering bail and legal fees. Cade said…

“We’re going to take care of those guys. They entertained us during the rain delay, and that was pretty sweet.”
