Why Zach Top Skipped His Encore
October 17, 2025 6:11 amZach Top might love classic country, but his heart belongs to the Seattle Mariners.
Zach is from Washington state, and he even got to fulfill a childhood dream and throw out the first pitch at a Mariners game earlier this year.
As it turns out, the feeling is mutual.
Mariners’ slugger Cal Raleigh, better known as Big Dumper, uses Zach’s song “Bad Luck” as his walk-up music and calls him “the best in country music.”
But Zach’s fandom is even stronger than you can imagine.
During a recent interview, he confessed that he recently skipped an encore in Louisville so he could catch the end of a Mariners game.
“I’m not proud to admit this . . . but we had a show the other night, and the crowd wanted an encore. I didn’t give them one because I was already sprinting back to my green room to watch the rest of the game.”
It even went a step further.
“I had my monitor engineer feeding me score updates in my ears throughout the show.”
Now that is a diehard fan.
