Carrie Underwood Has A Brilliant Solution To Get Kids To Stop Saying “6-7”

Carrie Underwood has a solution for kids who keep saying “6-7” nonstop.

And if you have somehow been shielded from hearing multiple “6-7s” a day, consider yourself lucky.  Somehow it became Dictionary.com’s 2025 Word of the Year, even though it’s not even a word.

In a new promo for “American Idol”, a contestant mentioned “6-7” . . . and Carrie didn’t miss a beat.

She said, “Here’s how we stop that.  I have the cure.”  Then she broke into song: “Every time the kids say ‘6-7,’ we have to immediately say ‘5-3-0-9.'”

Which is sung to the tune of Tommy Tutone’s hit “867-5309 / Jenny”.

She went on to say, “And if we all band together and do that, it will stop.  It’s gonna take all of us.”

It you want to watch “American Idol”, it returns Monday, January 26th on ABC.  Carrie is heading into her second season as an “Idol” judge.  She’s celebrating twenty years since she won season four back in 2005.  (You can watch the clip of Carrie here.)
