Reba McEntire And Rex Linn Delay Wedding Due To Work Commitments
February 9, 2026 7:45 amReba McEntire and fiancé Rex Linn have pushed back their wedding plans due to professional obligations.
Speaking at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 1, the 70-year-old singer explained that Linn, 69, follows a “work comes first” rule.
McEntire told E! News that Linn’s new project with Owen Wilson has caused the delay. “We’re still waiting on a third season pickup from Happy’s Place,”
McEntire said. “And Rex got picked up on Stick with Owen Wilson, so that pushed the wedding back.” The couple, engaged since Christmas Eve 2024, currently stars together in the NBC sitcom Happy’s Place. McEntire previously told PEOPLE in November they are “totally enjoying being engaged” with no rush to set a date.
“Work comes first, so we’ll see,” she said. The bride-to-be described their future ceremony as “nontraditional,” featuring “comfort,” friends, and food.
