An Officer’s Last Day
August 13, 2021 7:05 amThis was posted on Facebook and with permission from Jessica Miller of Chatham we’re sharing her story here…..
I got pulled over today! (Keep reading) I haven’t been pulled over in 14 years!!!!
So I was shaking, thinking what in the heck was I doing wrong? I didn’t think I was speeding- so I put my signal on, pulled over, put my four-ways on and reached in my purse to grab my license.
Still shaking like crazy ….My husband tells me he didn’t know what I did wrong either.
So, the officer walks up, sees my license in my hand, and tells me to put my license away then, continues to tell me that today is his very last day- he’s retiring!!!
He handed me a Timmy’s gift card- and said it’s been an honour to serve the community!
He was randomly pulling people over, just to show his appreciation, by passing out Timmy’s cards.
My heart melted! We thanked him for his service and wished him the best of luck in his retirement! What a good guy! He sure got my heart pumping though!
His name is Albert Pilbeam! If you see this, Officer Pilbeam, thank you again for your service, your gracious act of kindness and we wish you the very best in retirement!
