Service Dog For A Blind Dog, Thirst Leads To Lottery Win, Music For Refugees

- Massachusetts man Nicholas Fulmer was thirsty and stopped at the Market Basket in Lowell to get a specific brand of ginger ale that he likes.
While there, he decided to buy a scratch-off lottery ticket too — and it turned out to be a $1 million jackpot winner. Fulmer chose to take his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $650,000, and said he plans to put the money toward buying a house.
- An 11-year-old Siberian husky in Seattle is going viral, because he’s got his own service dog. His name is Sterling, and glaucoma robbed him of eyesight a few years ago. But he’s still going strong, because a 10-year-old dog named Walker goes everywhere with him, and they’re best buds.
- A musician from Germany drove 17 hours to the Poland-Ukraine border, and brought his grand piano along to play music for refugees when they arrive. He says his message is, “peace through music.”
