Baby’s Sight Saved And A Terrible Sandwich
September 28, 2022 5:04 amA TikTok viewer saved a baby’s vision! Mother Lily Fleet posted a video dressing her baby boy…but optometrist Laura Brown noticed something unusual.
Brown sent Fleet a message telling her to take her eight-week-old to a specialist due to a “cloudy” look in his left eye. Tests revealed the baby had glaucoma and needed an urgent operation. Untreated, the condition could have caused blindness.
“When we saw the specialists they said this isn’t often picked up before seven months so we’re very lucky,” Fleet said. “I’m so grateful to her for reaching out. It’s something I’ll never forget.”
A mom in Pennsylvania posted a video of her kid coming home from his first day of kindergarten . . . and immediately informing her that the sandwich she made for his lunch was TERRIBLE.
It’s from 2018, but she posted it on TikTok this month. She says she hadn’t grocery shopped and couldn’t use peanut butter because other kids have allergies. So it was a BUTTER and jelly sandwich.
Abe Ndege, who is now 10 years old, has launched terriblesandwich.com to help raise awareness for childhood hunger.
