Music During Surgery And World Record Pumpkin

Doctors in Italy just did a nine-hour procedure to remove a guy’s brain tumor, and had him play the saxophone during the surgery.  It was to help make sure they snipped the right spots.  They say it was a success.

The largest pumpkin in U.S. history is now the world’s biggest jack-o-lantern.

A guy in Minnesota grew it.  It weighed in at 2,560 pounds earlier this month.  He had it carved on Friday and went patriotic with it.  An artist carved the face of a bald eagle into the front.

We haven’t heard from Guinness yet, but it should easily beat the current record, which is owned by the same guy.

He grew one two years ago and had a tiger’s face carved into it.  But this pumpkin weighed about 200 pounds more than that one.
