Police in Britain said a pet owner contacted authorities when their cat came home toting an unusual trophy — a bag of drugs. The Bristol Police said shared a photo of the drugs on Twitter. “Look what the cat dragged in. The owner got a bit of a shock but called us straight away!” Police commended the cat for taking the drugs off the street. “Forget police dogs, we should start training up cats,” the department joked.

Season 15 of “Grey’s Anatomy” premieres tonight, and star Ellen Pompeo hinted in a recent interview that the show could be ending after Season 16. Pompeo said that she isn’t ready to make a formal announcement, but she feels that they have told most of the stories they can tell. She is one of four actors who has been on the show since it premiered in 2004 — and her contract is up at the end of Season 16. Pompeo says that it’s about time to mix things up, and she is looking for a change.
TODAY IS……………….
- “Chocolate Milk Day”, something unheard of until the Van Houten company in Amsterdam, Holland invented a cocoa pressing method in 1828. In 2006, a study determined that chocolate milk is a better post-workout recovery drink than white milk, water, or most sports drinks.

⇒ In America, 105,800 cans are recycled every minute.
⇒ Your television can run for 3 hours from the energy saved by recycling one can.
⇒ Aluminum cans are worth about a penny each.
⇒The industry pays more than $1 billion annually for recycled cans.

TODAY’S GOOD NEWS
There’s an animal shelter in Green Bay called Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary. Last Tuesday, they posted photos of an older guy who comes in and takes naps with their cats. And now they’re getting a TON of donations because of it.
His name is Terry Lauerman, and he’s 75. Back in 2016, he walked in and asked if he could volunteer. So they had him hang out with the cats and brush them. Then it turned into a regular thing after he retired.
The shelter doesn’t have cages, so the cats just roam around. And there are a bunch of couches and comfy chairs to sit on. So the napping part isn’t really SUPPOSED to be part of it . . . he’s just 75 years old and exhausted.
It DOES help them though, because they’re all special needs cats. And they need to get used to socializing with people so they can be adopted.
Anyway, after the photos went viral, the shelter started getting a ton of donations. At one point, their website had 1,000 hits a SECOND. And in four days, they raised over FORTY GRAND.
It’s not clear what the total is up to now. But they’ve already raised more than a year’s worth of funds. And even though it’s all thanks to Terry, he doesn’t really want credit for it. He told a local paper that he, quote, “literally did nothing.”

OPTICAL ILLUSION AFFECTED BY AGE?
There’s a famous optical illusion you’ve probably seen at some point. It’s called “My Wife and My Mother-in-Law,” and it either shows a young woman looking away . . . or an old woman looking straight ahead.
A new study looked into WHY you see the young woman or the old woman. And the researchers found it has to do with your subconscious bias toward your own age.
They found that people under 30 saw the young woman the first time they looked at the picture . . . while people over 30 were more likely to see the old woman.

GIANT SPIDER WEB STRETCHES 1,000 FEET ACROSS LAGOON
If you have a fear of spider you should prepare for some nightmares tonight. A lagoon in western Greece has basically been taken over by Tetragnatha spiders, also known as “stretch spiders” for their long bodies.
Their thick, sticky cobwebs have taken over the greenery surrounding the lagoon in Aitoliko. Wildlife experts say it’s not uncommon for spiders to build massive nests for mating, especially at this time of year, when the weather is ideal for the creatures.
Fortunately, they shouldn’t cause any permanent issues to the area’s plants, and likely won’t stay long, as experts say the spiders die after mating.
