A passenger flying from Germany to Russia caused a stir when it was discovered he was carrying 20 snakes in his bag. The man said he had bought the snakes at a market in Germany. “The reptiles were in canisters, packed in bags, carried in hand luggage. There were no documents provided for the reptiles,” Sheremetyevo International Airport’s press service said in a statement. “The species of snakes will be determined by specialists, but according to preliminary information they are not of a venomous species.”
The snakes were quarantined in Moscow because the passenger lacked proper documents, including from veterinarians, to bring the snakes from Düsseldorf to Russia.

How long should you spend at the gym to get a full workout? The more reps the better, right? Slow down, Schwarzenegger. You might be happy to hear that when it comes to bodybuilding, a report published in “Medicine and Science and Sports Exercise” says that if your strength exercises are longer than 13 minutes, you’re wasting your time. Men who performed just one set of 8-12 reps using weights heavy enough to exhaust their muscles, benefited as much as those who did five times as much work. To achieve these results, the participants were required to “train to failure”, meaning that they worked out so hard that they were unable to complete another set. Researchers suggest three 13-minute sessions per week.

SAN FRANCISCO BREAK AND ENTERS
A crew from “Inside Edition” tried to go to San Francisco and do a report on people breaking into cars.
They had a bait car with some valuable stuff inside, and hidden GPS units so they could track the stuff once it got stolen.
But car burglaries are so crazy in San Francisco that BOTH their cars got hit . . . first the bait car, and then their news van while they were reporting on the first theft.

TODAY’S GOOD NEWS
There’s an 81-year-old guy in Mobile, Alabama named Louis Mapp who recently volunteered at his local hospital.
Every Tuesday, he goes in and rocks babies to sleep to give their parents a break, or when the nurses are too busy. He mostly helps with premature babies, and says it’s always the highlight of his week.
And ever since he started doing it, he’s been really impressed with how great the nurses and doctors are. So on top of volunteering, he and his wife recently decided to donate some money to the hospital.
Before he retired, Louis worked in the banking sector. So they’re pretty well off . . . and they just donated a MILLION DOLLARS to the neonatal center.
He says they wanted to do something that would continue to make a difference after they’ve both passed away. And their only stipulation was the NURSES get to decide how the money is spent.
They’re using some of the money this year to buy a few special beds for extremely premature babies called “Leo” beds. Each bed costs about $50,000. And until now, they didn’t have enough of them.

APPLE SAYS THEIR IPHONES AREN’T EAVESDROPPING ON US
Have you ever had a conversation about a product or searched for a certain product and then you just happen to see an ad for it when you’re on Facebook or Instagram? You are not alone!
Many iPhone users have revealed that they believe their phones and smart speakers are listening in on their private conversations. Well, Apple is setting the record straight — saying that their products are not eavesdropping on us.
According to CNN, Apple wrote a letter to federal lawmakers stating that the massive tech company does not by any means listen in on what users are saying, and insisted that any third-party app developers cannot, in any way, access iPhone audio data.

- The death toll from Hurricane Florence rose to 32 yesterday (September 17th), as food and water arrived for hard-hit Wilmington, North Carolina, which is completely surrounded by floodwaters from the torrential rain dropped by the storm.
People in Wilmington were still being rescued, as authorities were able Monday to open a single road into the town, which had been entirely cut off by flooding a day earlier. There were also increased flooding concerns in Virginia, which had a fatality from a tornado spawned from Florence as well as increased power outages.
- A 51-year-old man has been saving animals left homeless in Hurricane Florence’s wake. In the past week, Alsup has rescued 53 dogs and 11 cats from South Carolina shelters that were in Florence’s path. Alsup has helped some of the pets to get adopted while bringing nearly 40 others to vacant shelters. (Washington Post)
