A 27-year-old guy named Joshua Mason took his 28-year-old girlfriend Katie Davis on an eight-mile hike on Saturday afternoon to the top of Jasper Peak in Boulder County, Colorado. And when they got to the top, he PROPOSED to her.
She said yes, and then it was time to head down the mountain to celebrate. But it started getting DARK and they got LOST.
They wound up getting saved by a hiker who found them a few hours later and led them to his camp. Sheriff’s Deputy Dan Walter says the engagement is still on.

The big key to you becoming a better, more productive, and happier employee is . . . Fridays off every single week.
There’s an economist at the University of Oxford in England and he says that studies show that we’d all be better workers if we always had three-day weekends.
Quote, “I would argue the four-day work week is spot on in striking that right balance between improving the work-life balance and unlocking . . . productivity gains. This outweighs the net reduction in productivity from working a day less.”
In other words, you’ll get more done in four days than you do in five . . . if you can start spending that fifth day doing anything BUT working.

- The first pregnancy tests were created in Egypt in 1350 B.C., where a woman would pee on wheat and barley seeds. If the barley grew, it meant a boy . . . wheat meant a girl . . . and neither meant she wasn’t pregnant. But it was less than 30% accurate.

TODAY’S GOOD NEWS
There’s a 9-year-old kid in South Dakota named Javier Amos who’s been battling leukemia. And the best news is he’s now in remission.
But he also just did something pretty cool for his classmates last month . . .
The Make-a-Wish Foundation recently approached his family and said they’d grant any wish he wanted. So he could have gone to Disney World, or met his favorite athlete.
But instead, he asked them to throw a pizza party for all his FRIENDS at school.
The Make-a-Wish people showed up at his school last month, and threw everyone a huge pizza party that also included zoo animals, bounce houses, and laser tag.
Javier got to ride to the party in a police car. And when he showed up, everyone was waiting for him with signs they made. And they were all chanting his name.
The head of Make-a-Wish in South Dakota said he’d never seen anything quite like it. And yes . . . it sounds like Javier’s pretty popular at school these days.

SHOULD YOU EAT THE FUNKY BREAD?
You find a chunk of mold on your bread, should you cut off the gross part or chuck the entire loaf? While the practical person in you says you can eat around it, science says otherwise.
A specialist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, says that she doesn’t recommend eating it, even if you cut off the mold first. “With soft food, it’s very easy for the roots [of the mold], or the tentacles, or whatever creepy word you want to use, to penetrate” deeper into the food. That’s right. Just because you can’t see mold, doesn’t mean that you aren’t eating it.
What you don’t see are the microscopic root threads underneath. So, what looks like “clean” bread may actually be teeming with mold threads.
Plus, moldy foods may also have invisible bacteria growing along with the mold. And another thing? If mold appears on one slice of bread, there’s a pretty good chance that there are spores already growing on the rest of them.

HEALTH NEWS
If you have trouble motivating yourself to get up off the couch to get stuff done, it’s not a sign you’re lazy. It’s a sign that you’re HUMAN.
According to a study by evolutionary biologists from the University of British Columbia in Canada, it turns out we’re all HARDWIRED to be LAZY.
So when you DO get motivated to do stuff, your brain has to work extra hard and use lots of energy to overcome human nature.
But why are we built to be lazy? Because it helps our bodies save energy . . . and for ancient humans, that was a big advantage, because it meant you could use your extra energy for hunting and survival.
How long should you spend at the gym to get a full workout? The more reps the better, right? Slow down, Schwarzenegger. You might be happy to hear that when it comes to bodybuilding, a report says that if your strength exercises are longer than 13 minutes, you’re wasting your time. Men who performed just one set of 8-12 reps using weights heavy enough to exhaust their muscles, benefited as much as those who did five times as much work. To achieve these results, the participants were required to “train to failure”, meaning that they worked out so hard that they were unable to complete another set. Researchers suggest three 13-minute sessions per week.

Tim McGraw Released Two New Songs Yesterday
As expected, TIM MCGRAW released a new song yesterday called NEON CHURCH.
Then he surprised us by dropping a second one titled THOUGHT ABOUT YOU. He gave props to the digital age for allowing that to happen.
QUOTE, “I love that there are no rules anymore and I can give fans more music at once. I really felt that both of these songs were ready to be heard and will absolutely give a sense of where I’m going with my next project.”
Eric Church On Why He Refuses to Fill His Songs with Hooks
Although they won’t admit it, most country artists live and die by how many hit records they have. And if that means recording songs with clever hooks that people love, but then get tired of, who cares. They’ll record another one.
That’s what sets ERIC CHURCH apart. His songs may not grab you right away, but once you start listening, you’re going to keep coming back. He says one of the secrets to that is letting the songs have a “huge amount of space.”
QUOTE, “That’s my biggest beef with Nashville. They have studio guys who try to find a hook or a part. [But] sometimes the silence or space is the part. The coolest part is non-part. Or non-solo. Don’t put a [stupid] solo there. Let it be.”
Eric says you can expect “a lot of space” in his new album, “Desperate Man”, which is out today.
In a different interview, Eric revealed that DESPERATE MAN“ is his favorite video of all time. He loved the “shady characters” that he and his band got to play . . . and is thrilled that his musical hero Ray Wylie Hubbard was a huge part in it.
