The police in Blackpool, England posted a surveillance photo on Facebook of a guy who committed a robbery, and asked people if they recognized him.
They didn’t get any leads, but a ton of people pointed out that he looks just like DAVID SCHWIMMER.
The cops received SO many “tips” that it was David, that they actually updated the post, adding, quote, “We have investigated this matter thoroughly and have confirmed that David Schwimmer was in America on this date.
And someone on social media joked, quote, “I don’t think it’s been this guy’s day, his week, his month or even his year.”
The story went VIRAL, and David responded with an ALIBI. He said, quote, “Officers, I swear it wasn’t me. As you can see, I was in New York. To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation.”
He attached a video where he’s carrying an armful of beer just like the suspect, but he’s in a New York supermarket with ads for the YANKEES.

There’s a single mother in Merseyside, England who just posted a job ad on a British site called Childcare.co.uk.
Quote, “I get very scared at Halloween because of the costumes and speaking to strangers to ask for sweets for kids. I have severe social anxiety and am uncomfortable trick-or-treating, but I’d like for my kids to experience it.”
So . . . she’s looking to hire someone to take her nine-year-old, her seven-year-old, and her three-year-old trick-or-treating.
She’s offering to pay $65-an-hour and she figures it should take about four hours total. So it’s actually a really good deal for whoever gets the gig.

TODAY’S GOOD NEWS
33-year-old Megan Yunn used to run a youth program in Pittsburgh. And back in 2011, she was helping a 12-year-old girl named Beverly with her vocabulary homework when she found out the girl had never had a birthday party.
She tried to explain what the word “accustomed” meant by asking her what people are “accustomed” to eating at birthday parties. But Beverly didn’t know the answer was cake, because she’d never HAD birthday cake.
Her parents were having major financial issues. And Megan says she cried in her car on the way home just thinking about it.
So a few months later, she started a nonprofit called Beverly’s Birthdays that throws birthday parties for homeless kids.
It got going in February of 2012. And since then, she and about 200 volunteers have thrown parties and given presents to over 30 THOUSAND kids.
Megan says it’s never really been about birthdays though. She says that when you quote, “strip away the birthday aspect, [it’s just] about letting children and their parents know they MATTER.”
They also do baby showers for women in shelters.

Woman Admits She Secretly Plumped Up Her Bridesmaids Before Her Wedding
There’s a woman in Australia named Penny. And she just shared the story of what she did before her wedding to try to guarantee she’d look better than her bridesmaids . . . her older sister Maggie and her younger sister Charlie.
Penny says that in the month leading up to the wedding, she’d make them breakfast smoothies every day. She SAID they were, quote, “slimming smoothies” so all three of them would look skinny at the wedding.
But she was secretly putting a triple serving of WEIGHT GAIN POWDER from a bodybuilding shop in her sisters’ drinks . . . to plump them up so she’d look skinnier next to them in photos.
And her plan worked . . . they both gained enough weight that they had to have their dresses altered to fit.
So Penny says when she looks at her wedding photos now, quote, “I sometimes feel a twinge of guilt . . . but mostly I feel happy.”

HELPING YOU QUIT
There’s a company in Japan called Exit, and they only do one thing: Quit your job for you.
If you want to leave your job, but you’re too afraid to have that talk with your boss, you pay Exit $450 and they take care of it. They call your boss and the HR department, break the news, and get the paperwork started.
The people at Exit say most of their clients are in their 20s and 30s, and the main reasons they want someone to quit for them are they’re afraid their bosses will try to talk them into staying . . . or, yeah, they’re just too nervous to do it themselves.

Have You Been Using Cheese Graters Wrong Your Whole Life?
Recently someone posted a video that shows how most of us use can openers so the part you crank is facing off to the side. But they were designed to be used with that part facing UP.
And if you do it the right way, it’s easier to get the lid off, because it won’t fall into the can.
Now there’s another video that claims we’ve also been using CHEESE GRATERS wrong.
It’s about a specific type of cheese grater called a box grater . . . the kind with four sides and a handle on top, so all the cheese falls out the bottom.
And we’re not totally sold on the idea this is how they’re really INTENDED to be used. But we’ve seen people online who’ve tried it, and they claim it does make the process a little easier.
Here’s what to do: Instead of holding it so the cheese falls down through the bottom, try turning it on its SIDE and grating the cheese that way.
Instead of an up-and-down motion, you can go back-and-forth. Which they claim is easier and saves time.
If you do it that way, all the cheese still stays inside the grater, and you can dump it out into a bowl when you’re done. The video on how to do it has racked up about 3 million hits on Twitter.
