If you’re wondering where all your time is going, here’s THE answer. You’re literally wasting your life staring at your phone.
A new survey found the average Android user spends three hours and 42 minutes a day looking at their phone, and the average iPhone user spends four hours and 54 minutes.
That means in a year, Android people are looking at their phones for more than 56 entire days a year, and iPhone people are looking at theirs for more than 74 entire days.

Airplanes are germy, everybody knows this. But now a new study identifies some surfaces you might not necessarily think of as the germiest places on board. “Marketplace,” a CBC consumer news series, found the seats’ headrests may be the germiest places on the plane, with some testing positive for E. coli bacteria. The seatback pockets were also pretty gross, which samples from them showing E. coli, and other coliforms.
Flight attendants offered their own theories as to why this might be, with some telling the producers they have found used diapers, tampons or used air-sickness bags stuffed inside the pockets after a flight. One crew member further admitted that planes need to be cleaned very quickly between flights, making it nearly impossible to give everything a thorough cleaning.

ENTERTAINMENT
The QUEEN movie “Bohemian Rhapsody” earned $50 million at the box office over the weekend, which was easily enough to make it the #1 movie.
Disney’s “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” is being considered a bomb with $20 million, because it cost $130 million to make. And “Nobody’s Fool” debuted in third with $14 million.
It’s hard to imagine “Wayne’s World” without the “Bohemian Rhapsody” scene, but Mike Myers had to fight for it, because the studio wanted Guns ‘N Roses. And now he’s playing Queen’s manager in the new movie.
TODAY IS……………….

TODAY’S GOOD NEWS
There aren’t a ton of bookstores around anymore because we all just download them now. And if you want a REAL one, you just order it on Amazon. But a group of people in the U.K. recently pitched in to SAVE their local bookstore.
A store in southern England called October Books had managed to stay in business for 40 years. Then their rent went up in July and they couldn’t afford it anymore.
So someone started a fundraising campaign that managed to raise over half-a-million dollars to BUY another building, so they could relocate.
That saved the store. But they still had to deal with the huge task of relocating all the books . . . about 2,000 of them.
They didn’t have to move far though, because the new building was just down the street, about 500 feet away. So this past Sunday, 250 volunteers moved all of the books by forming a human chain.
They lined up between the original location and the new location . . . passed two or three books at a time down the line . . . and knocked the whole thing out in a few hours.
One woman who helped out said it was amazing to see what can happen when a whole community comes together.

TIME CHANGE
Daylight saving time (DST) isn’t practiced everywhere in the world.
Saskatchewan as well as most of Asia and Africa as well as parts of Australia and South America don’t observe DST at all — nor do Hawaii, Arizona, or many US territories, like Guam and the US Virgin Islands
Some tips to get through the time change….
- Don’t Stay Up Late When you set the clocks back each fall, “your circadian rhythms will cause you to want to go to bed earlier and wake up earlier than your external environment,” says Dr. Rosen. “One of the biggest mistakes that people make … is staying up later and thinking that they’re going to get an extra hour of sleep,” she adds. Because your circadian rhythms may wake you early Sunday morning, it’s important not to count on that extra snooze time.
- Use the Sun The fall time change is easier than the spring, says Dr. Rosen, particularly for those who work standard daylight hours, since you’re able to hack your sunlight exposure. Try to get as much late afternoon sun exposure before switching the clocks back, and as much morning sun exposure as possible after switching the clocks to help ease the transition.
- Take Your Time “If you work a non-traditional schedule, or have a little extra time in the morning, it might ease the transition if you go to sleep and wake up 10-15 minutes later each day the week before the time change,” says Dr. Rosen. As always, adding a nap can help fend off drowsiness for anyone still struggling with the switch back to standard time
