A man working at a 24 Hour Fitness gym in Texas said he had to call another location for help when he was locked inside at closing time. Jonathan Santos said he encountered another employee in the locker room of the gym, located in Spring, just before closing and that the worker acknowledged his presence. However, Santos says when he left the locker room a few minutes later he discovered he was locked inside the business. He says he was trapped inside for about 25 minutes before he was able to reach employees at another location who then sent help.

Canada really wants to be known for having the world’s tallest moose statue. Currently the tallest moose statue in the world stands between Oslo and Trondheim, Norway, and was erected in 2015. But Mayor Fraser Tolmie of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, said his town’s statue, Mac the Moose, held the record for 31 years before Norway took over the record. The Norway statue is less than 12 inches taller than Mac, which has lead city officials to consider ways to make their statue taller in order to reclaim the record. Tolmie says a fundraising campaign is underway to hire an engineer to tack the issue of making Mac taller.

Ridley Scott is heading back to the Gladiator arena. The director/producer is developing a follow-up to his Oscar-winning film starring Russell Crowe for Paramount Pictures.
The 2000 film killed at the box office with $460 million worldwide while earning 11 Oscar nominations and five wins – including best picture and best actor for Russell Crowe.
There is no news on a time frame for production or release. As to whether Crowe, 54, or Phoenix, 44, would return for the sequel, that would require Hollywood magic on many levels. Both died in the original’s epic final battle in the ring.

A Woman Is Holding an Essay Contest . . . and the Prize Is Her $1.7 Million House
There’s a woman named Alla Wagner in Millarville, Alberta, and she’s been trying to sell her house for several months.
It’s in a rural area about 45 minutes outside of Calgary, it’s almost 5,000 square feet, and it’s got three bedrooms, a wine cellar, and amazing scenery. But no one was biting at the price: $1.7 million.
So Alla came up with a new strategy. She’s holding an ESSAY CONTEST . . . and she’s going to give the house to whoever writes the best 350-word essay.
There’s a fee of $18.75 to enter the contest, and Alla won’t give away the house until she’s got 68,000 entries . . . since that comes out to the asking price of the house.
She says she’s already getting thousands of entries every day.
And if you’re wondering what she’s looking for in an essay, quote, “How will moving here change someone’s life? Why would they enjoy cutting the grass? Why would they love being here? . . . I want someone to tug on my heart strings.”

TODAY’S GOOD NEWS
A high school senior in Clearwater, Florida named Olivia Jones caused a crash last month that may have actually SAVED someone’s life.
She was sitting at a red light when she noticed a woman slumped behind the wheel in the car next to her.
At first she thought the woman was just texting, because she was looking straight down. But then Olivia realized she was having a SEIZURE. And the woman’s car was drifting into oncoming traffic.
So without hesitating, Olivia pulled out in front of the woman’s car . . . hit the brakes . . . and let her crash into the back of her.
Once they were both stopped, Olivia opened the woman’s door, put it in park, and called 911. And it may have saved her life. EMTs got there about two minutes later.
Olivia ended up with a dent in her back bumper, and was a little worried her parents would be angry at her. But obviously they were cool with it.

TYLER HUBBARD, LUKE COMBS, THOMAS RHETT ARE CMA TRIPLE PLAY AWARDS WINNERS –
Florida Georgia Line‘s Tyler Hubbard, Luke Combs and Thomas Rhett are among the recipients of the 10th annual CMA Triple Play Awards, an honor presented to songwriters who pen three Number One songs within a 12-month period based on the Country Aircheck, Billboard Country Airplay and Billboard Hot Country Songs charts.
