A guy in Tulsa stole a Pepsi delivery truck from a mall parking lot, because he wanted to get to the airport to stop his girlfriend from leaving him.  The delivery guy was still in the back when the truck took off, and had to jump out.  And the guy spilled Pepsi everywhere while he drove.  He eventually rear-ended an empty school bus and got arrested.  One of the cops talked to reporters.

Cadbury just put up a job posting for a new CHOCOLATE TASTE TESTER.  If you get it, you’ll spend around eight hours a week, at $14-an-hour, trying chocolates at their headquarters in Wokingham, England.  And no, I don’t think they’ll pay for relocation expenses.

They say anyone can apply, because they’re not necessarily looking for someone with experience . . . just someone with a passion for chocolate who gives honest opinions.  Oh, and no nut allergy.

ENTERTAINMENT

The classic game show “Press Your Luck” is being brought back.

A casting announcement was posted online.  There’s no word on who the host will be.  The original host Peter Tomarken and his wife were killed in a plane crash in 2006.  Here’s the “Press Your Luck” theme.

Patton Oswalt was on with Seth Myers and talked about turning 50, and said it isn’t as fun as it used to be.

You used to be able to relax and be old . . . now you’re supposed be active and hop on a mountain bike.

Busted by the Cloud

Three teenage girls broke into a house in California ten days ago, and stole a family’s BMW while they were on vacation in Hawaii.

Then they filmed themselves smoking weed in the stolen car on a stolen iPad . . . and it got uploaded to the Cloud.  The owners posted the video on Facebook, the mother of one of the girls saw it, and they were all busted.  Here are the owners, the mom who busted her own daughter, and the daughter.

Guy Tries to Woo a Woman by Posing as a CIA Agent

A 25-year-old in Syracuse named Ryan Houghtalen recently met a woman at church that he wanted to date.

But instead of just asking her out, he claimed to be a CIA agent . . . and told her she was being targeted by ISIS.

After they met, he told her terrorists were after him, and her life was also in danger, because she knew him.  He also said she should stop talking to people, stay home, and NOT call the police.  If she did, he said she’d be seriously injured or killed.

Apparently, he just wanted to look cool.  And his plan was to swoop in and be the ‘protector’ or something, so she’d fall for him.  He even created a fake CIA badge.  And she actually believed him at first, but eventually went to the cops. The dumbest part is his real job is kind of cool.  He’s a drone camera operator for the Air National Guard.  Or, WAS anyway.

Police arrested him and he’s facing charges for criminal impersonation of a public servant.

TODAY’S GOOD NEWS

Jib Street who’s originally from Canada has been playing hockey his entire life but, his life nearly ended during a hockey game at the Pineville, North Carolina Ice House in January.

Street went into sudden cardiac arrest, and didn’t have a pulse for more than five minutes. The harrowing incident was all caught on the rink’s camera.

One of the guys playing happens to be an E.R. Doctor. Dr. Craig Bryant sprung into action and immediately started CPR to keep Street’s heart viable, and thankfully, the Pineville ice center had an AED unit on hand. The Doctor tried to brush off the accolades saying that it “took a village to save Street’s life”

Street made a full recovery, and was incredibly grateful to Bryant for his quick action.

As he put it Wayne Gretzky may be considered “The Great One” in the world of hockey, but not for Street. For him, Dr. Bryant is not only the greatest, but his guardian angel so he gave him what he called his prized possession a signed Wayne Gretzky jersey.

Blake Shelton’s Heroes Are the Close Friends Who Are Always There for Him

In an interview BLAKE SHELTON talked about how his heroes have changed over time.

And when you consider that he’s gone through a very public, messy divorce, it’s no surprise that the people who’ve been at his side during the tough times have reached hero status in his eyes.

Quote, “I find that as time goes by, my definition of a hero changes.  My heroes have started to become my good friends.  You start to find out, the older you get that a really good friend is a pretty rare thing to have in your life.

“I’ve gotta say that the handful of really close friends that I have, those are my heroes.  They’re the ones that will just drop everything to be there for you if they need to be.  I hold them high.”

(Conversation starter:  Can you “wow us” with a story about a friend who’s been there for you time and time again?  Someone who is so solid that they’ve reached hero status in your eyes?)

You’re Probably Spending Way More on Subscriptions Than You Think

Unless you’re living off the grid, you’ve got SOME subscriptions you’re paying for every month or every year.  And those REALLY add up.

A new survey asked people how much they think they’re spending every month on subscriptions, including cell phone service.  The average person estimated around $80.

Turns out . . . we’re spending about three times that.  When you actually add it up, the average person is dropping $237 every month on subscriptions.

That includes a lot of little things that add up, like . . .

Cell phone service . . . cable and WiFi . . . Netflix and Hulu . . . Amazon Prime . . . cloud storage like iCloud and Dropbox . . . music streaming . . . subscription boxes . . . and app memberships.

Former Cleveland Browns Quarterback JOHNNY MANZIEL has been released by the Montreal Alouettes his CFL team, and BANNED from the league as a whole.  It’s mysterious because no one is saying what he did, other than that he violated some conditions in his contract.

Johnny went on Twitter and thanked his Canadian fans, and said he’ll look for opportunities to play football again in the U.S.  Obviously, he isn’t coming back to the NFL . . . so he’ll probably try to get in with the AAF or the new XFL.

  1. Scientists have figured out how to harvest your hair follicle cells, ‘bank’ them in a lab as an insurance policy if you go bald, then clone them to create as many as you need.  It’s not available just yet, and it’ll be really expensive, but a company in the UK says it’s coming soon.

  1. Last year, the average price per tooth was $4.13 . . . and now it’s down another 43 cents to $3.70.  (Two years ago, it was at an all-time high of $4.66.)

Even though there was a pretty big drop in payouts again, 56% of parents say the Tooth Fairy still gives kids something to look forward to.  And 30% say their kids go to bed early if they know she’s coming.

  1. Lady Gaga was on Kimmel last night, and let everyone know her duet with

JON PARDI CELEBRATES PLATINUM ALBUM AT SAN ANTONIO RODEO – (02/26/2019)

Jon Pardi celebrated his RIAA-certified platinum album, California Sunrise, last week at the San Antonio Rodeo where he headlined the sold-out show with a crowd of over 16,500. Jon co-produced the album, which includes his double platinum-selling Number One hits “Head Over Boots” and “Dirt On My Boots,” the platinum-selling Number One hit “Heartache On The Dance Floor,” and his current Top 15 and climbing, “Night Shift.”

California Sunrise was released in 2016, and at the time, Jon told us what he hoped fans would experience when they listened to the 12-song project. [“I know they’ll go away with a good album. And they’ll learn that I like to make music that makes you feel good and my album I’m always going to try to where you can just press play and let it play and just do whatever you want and listen to it, work on your homework, wash your car, mow your lawn. I don’t know. It’s definitely a project where you can let it play and you can just let the time pass by in a good spirit and good lyrics and a good time. Hopefully they walk away with this album and say man I really want to go see that guy live. I want to see what this is about.”]

Jon is currently out on the road for the  2019 Burning Man Tour with Dierks Bentley.

BROOKS & DUNN ‘REBOOT’ CLASSIC HITS WITH COUNTRY STARS

Brooks & Dunn’s album “Reboot” comes out April 5th and is a 12-song remake of their hit songs featuring collaborations with some of country’s newer artists.

Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks tell us that while the project was not their idea, it turned out to be a good one. [“Our manager started pitching the concept of bringing new artists to the table and letting them pick songs. We’ll usually kind of roll our eyes or something like that. We go, ‘Who you gonna get? Who’s gonna do it?’ (Kix) We had dinner with him. He goes, ‘Man, I’ve talked to this guy and that guy and whatever and they’re really excited about it,’ so I’m like, ‘Well, heck, if we don’t have to work too hard (laughs)’ (Ronnie) Show up and sing half a song? Maybe. (Kix) Let’s see what happens.”]

Reboot marks the first time Brooks & Dunn hit the studio together since 2007.
