On Today’s Show
June 4, 2019 9:35 amThere’s a high school principal who’s going viral right now for PLAGIARIZING his graduation speech from Ashton Kutcher.
Ken DeMoss is the principal at Parkersburg High School in West Virginia. Back in 2013, Ashton Kutcher gave a speech at the Teen Choice Awards. And this guy ripped it off.
He structured his speech like Ashton . . . used a lot of the same phrases, stories and even ended with the same Steve Jobs quote and by saying “I love you guys.”
Well . . . one of the students at the school realized so she edited together the two speeches.
Once it started going viral, the principal offered a statement and in between comments about how he’s a, quote, “man of faith,” with three master’s degrees, he admits he HAS seen Ashton’s speech and borrowed quite a bit from it. He also noted he didn’t get paid extra to give the speech.

It’s a game-worn, Yankees road jersey, which dates back to the late ’20s. Only a few authentic Babe Ruth jerseys exist. The most recent one to sell also went for more than $4 million.
This jersey will be sold as part of a live auction event featuring the Personal Collection of Babe Ruth. It’ll take place at Yankee Stadium on June 15th.

TODAY’S GOOD NEWS
A cop in L.A. named Brian Cappell got a call last month about a nine-month-old baby that was choking. And he just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
He was driving in his car about a block away when the call came in. And his chest-cam was on, so the whole thing is on video.
As soon as he heard where the little girl was, he floored it . . . got there in less than a minute . . . and the girl’s older sister flagged him down.
Then he grabbed the little girl from her mom . . . started hitting her on the back while holding her face-down in his other arm . . . and saved her life.
Once she started crying, he knew she was okay. He says it was the best sound he’s ever heard in his life.
The girl’s mom told a reporter that she’s eternally grateful for what he did. And they got to see each other again this past Monday when Brian received a commendation for it.

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE READY TO MEET & GREET FANS AT CMA FEST – (06/04/2019)
Over 100,000 country music fans will be hanging out in Nashville later this week to enjoy all the free concerts, festivities and big shows during CMA Music Fest. It’s something the artists look forward to as well. “I think CMA week there’s just a good energy in town. I mean it’s crazy, it’s good, it’s something you look forward to every year and Nashville is a beautiful place to play a show in general but I think if we’re specifically talking about this week it’s like no other. To see all those fans, those are the most passionate fans in the world that are here this weekend, so to see 70,000 of them thrown in a stadium together, it’s on another level. And I know a lot of our fans are very passionate and loyal and all that, but these fans are coming from Europe, we’ve met people that we’ve met in Europe that are here this weekend, people from Canada, all over. So it’s a really cool week for us.”]
FGL will take the stage at Nissan Stadium to close the show on Thursday (June 6th) during CMA Fest. They will share the bill with Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini, Brothers Osborne and Rascal Flatts.
FAST FACTS

Blake Shelton Doesn’t Want to Release Albums Anymore
If it was up to BLAKE SHELTON, he’d stop releasing albums. He’ll always record music, but since albums aren’t a big deal anymore he’d rather release one song at a time. It came up when he was asked when his next album will be out.
He said, QUOTE, “I don’t know. I don’t want to put out an album. I really don’t. I’m sure that at some point my record company people are going to pressure me into it, but as of now, I’m not putting out an album this year. I know that.”
He adds, quote, “But when I think about an album right now I’m just like, ‘Do people care about them anymore?’ I don’t know. But I’m having a blast just releasing singles. Maybe I’ll do that from now on.”
Blake sees the writing on the wall, and his record company will eventually see it too. They’ll have to. You may have heard last year’s report that said albums are dying and there’s nothing we can do about it.
LUKE COMBS COVERS THE ALLMAN BROTHERS
You may have seen “The Tonight Show’s” digital-only music series called “Cover Room.” It’s an actual room where artists perform a cover of one of their favorite songs.
LUKE COMBS was on it and he did an awesome acoustic version of the Allman Brothers Band classic RAMBLIN’ MAN“.
It’s Over! James Holzhauer Lost on “Jeopardy!” Last Night!
JAMES HOLZHAUER’s reign as “Jeopardy!” champ FINALLY came to an end yesterday. After 32 straight wins and more than $2.4 million in winnings, James lost to a Chicago librarian named Emma Boettcher.
And the tragedy is that James came into last night’s game only about $58,000 short of KEN JENNINGS’ all-time record of $2.52 million.
James ends his run with $2,464,216. That includes the $2,000 he “earned” last night for coming in SECOND.
James joked that he shouldn’t have invited DRAKE to the taping.
So how did James lose? Well, he entered Final Jeopardy TRAILING Boettcher. He had $23,400, and she had $26,600.
They both got the correct answer, but James had only bet $1,399, while she wagered $20,201. That gave her a grand total of $46,801. She beat James by $22,002.
So why did he bet so little? James explained his wager, and it does make sense.
James knew that Emma would bet enough in Final Jeopardy to beat him even if he BET IT ALL, which she did. She ended up with $46,801, while James would have had $46,800 if he went all in.
Remember, James is a professional gambler. So he ran the odds and decided that the only way for him to win was for Emma to get the question wrong, and for him to not bet so much that if HE got it wrong too, the guy in third ended up winning.
In the end, though, everyone got it right, and even if James HAD doubled down, he still would have come in second.
