A couple in Florida were having a picnic by a lake last Thursday, before the guy left for the Marines for 10 weeks.  But the picnic got crashed by a huge alligator that ate all their food.  You could tell they had a sense of humor about the whole thing.

Kraft is releasing a new product called SALAD FROSTING.  It’s in a pouch and has lots of bright colors on the front.

But “salad frosting” is actually just . . . ranch dressing.

By disguising it as “frosting,” the hope is it’ll push kids to use it on their vegetables.

By the way, ranch dressing isn’t THAT healthier than actual frosting when it comes to calories and fat.  It does have less sugar though . . . and if it motivates kids to eat vegetables, then maybe it’s worth it.

ENTERTAINMENT

Jim Gaffigan was on Seth Myers last night, and told a funny story about his recent fall while walking on stage.  And it was only one step up.

We still don’t know much about the “Breaking Bad” movie that is reportedly a sequel set to follow the events of the original series. But we do know this: Walter White’s son will not be in it. RJ Mitte who played Flynn in the series, says he’s “not a part of” the film. He says he envisioned a future for Flynn in which the character has now joined the DEA and is committed to finding out what happened to his uncle Hank. The Breaking Bad film is reportedly code-named “Greenbriar.”

CHERNOBYL IS NOW AN INSTAGRAM HOT SPOT THANKS TO THE H-B-O SHOW

HBO’s miniseries Chernobyl is getting a lot of buzz, and that’s apparently spilling over into the Instagram community.

The real Chernobyl, a Ukrainian nuclear power plant that was the site of the April 1986 disaster, is now becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination. And with the tourists come Instagram posts, of course.

A search for the photos shows many in the area around Pripyat, Ukraine, near the remains of the plant. There are even a few slightly not safe for work “model shots” taken in the area. One disaster tour company told Reuters that it has seen a 40 percent increase in bookings since the Chernobyl miniseries debuted in May.

For the record, the area around Chernobyl is still classified as an exclusion zone, due to the ongoing radiation and toxicity of the area as a result of the explosion.

One tour guide told Reuters that visiting the area is safe.

TODAY’S GOOD NEWS

There’s a five-year-old kid in Green Bay named Kyu San Juan who was born with a condition where the arteries in his brain were all twisted up.  And he had to have an operation last Wednesday to fix it.

Now a video of him dancing in the frozen food aisle of a grocery store is going viral.  Because that’s what he wanted to do when he got nervous the night before surgery.

Apparently his mom shops there late at night when it’s empty.  And he likes to dance around while she’s getting groceries.

His grandfather flew in from across the country to be there for the surgery.  And Kyu wanted HIM to dance with him.  So he got out of bed around midnight, and he’s in it too.

Kyu also needed the left side of his head shaved for the surgery.  So his grandfather got a matching haircut, just so he’d feel better about it.

The best news is the operation was a success.  It went better than his doctors hoped, and they think he won’t need any other treatments after this.  He was back up on his feet within a few days.

He even danced again while he was still in the hospital.  The grocery store chain where they did the video is called Festival Foods.  And they sent their mascot . . . a big turkey named Boomer . . . to the hospital to dance with him.

NASA Is Opening up the International Space Station to Tourists . . . but It’ll Cost You

NASA just announced that it’s going to open up the International Space Station to TOURISTS.

Until now, they banned any commercial use of the ISS.

But getting up there won’t be cheap.  It’ll cost you $35,000 per NIGHT to say on the space station for up to 30 nights . . . plus you’ll have to pay a private company to fly you there and back.

And considering that it costs roughly $60 million for companies like SpaceX to make those trips . . . odds are the cost will be in the millions.

But if you’ve got a TON of money lying around and you want to go to space, you can start taking these trips as soon as next year.

Bill Murray Explains Why He Created a Secret 1-800 Number

Bill Murray has no agent or manager and assesses most roles that come his way through a

1-800 number. In a recent interview he said that he created the number — which is not listed, and only passed around through word of mouth — to keep Hollywood agents off his back.

I had a house phone, and it would just ring and ring,” Murray said. “Finally, I’d pick up the phone and I’d say, Who is calling me and letting my phone ring like that?’

“I just unplugged the phone and then I got this 800 number, which is very handy, he said.

Filmmakers who happen to get their hands on that mysterious 1-800 number shouldn’t expect any timeline for hearing back from the actor, or assume he’ll ever bother at all. It’s not like at 11 o’clock it’s time to check the messages, he said. Sometimes I go days or weeks. Sorry I’m busy living.

  1. NHL

The St. Louis Blues have FINALLY ended their 51-year drought and won their first Stanley Cup.  They beat the Boston Bruins 4-1 in Game Seven last night.  Even crazier:  The Blues were in LAST place back in January.

The Blues went on a tear in the second half of the season, winning 30 of their last 45 games.  They earned the fifth seed in the Western Conference, and defeated the Dallas Stars in seven games, and then the San Jose Sharks in six.

Kevin Durant of the Warriors confirmed that he ruptured his Achilles, which is expected to keep him out for more than a YEAR. Warriors coach Steve Kerr got some heat for playing him after he just came back from a calf injury.  Here’s Coach Kerr talking about the decision to play Durant.

Toronto leads the series 3-2.  Game Six is TONIGHT.

One fan sent Durant flowers to apologize for the crowd’s initial reaction.  And another started a GoFundMe to benefit Durant’s charity.  Last we’d checked it’d raised more than $23,000.

There’s an observation deck sticking out from the top of the Willis Tower in Chicago, where tourists can stand on the glass floor and look down.  And on Monday it shattered.  It was just the protective coating on the glass, and no one was in danger, but still.  Here’s a foreign guy and his American wife who were standing on it when it happened.  It happened in 2014 too.

CLARE DUNN ON FATHER’S DAY

The biggest Father’s Day gift Clare Dunn ever gave to her dad was a weather machine.  It scored big because he’s a farmer and he put it to good use.

Dolly Parton Won’t Do the Rides at Dollywood

DOLLY PARTON was talking about Wildwood Grove, which is the $137 million expansion to her Dollywood theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

There’s a lot of great stuff, including six new rides . . . so she was asked if she has a favorite.  She said, quote, “I don’t ride the rides.  I never have.  I have a tendency to get motion sickness.

“Also, I’m a little bit chicken.  With all my hair I got so much to lose, like my wig or my shoes.

I don’t like to get messed up.  I’m gonna have some handsome man mess it up, I don’t want some ride doing it.”

Jimmie Allen told some dad jokes in honor of Father’s Day.  For example:  “How much does a hipster weigh?  An Instagram.”  And then this:  “What did the janitor say when he jumped out of the closet?  Supplies!”
