A group of idiots in Australia went through a drive-thru the other day, and sprayed an employee in the face with a fire extinguisher.  And they filmed it.  She inhaled some of it, but says she’s lucky, because it could have blinded her.

TODAY’S GOOD NEWS

A cop near Phoenix named Ron Little recently showed up when a 26-year-old guy was about to jump off an overpass.  The guy had already climbed over a fence, and would have fallen onto a busy highway if he’d let go.

But Ron managed to talk him down and save his life . . . just by offering him a HUG.

It happened back on March 29th.  But the chest-cam footage was just posted online.

First, Ron radioed in and told everyone else to stay off the bridge.  Because he didn’t want to scare the guy.

Then he told him his name . . . offered to give him a hug if he climbed back over the fence . . . and KEPT talking about the hug for another five minutes or so.

The guy eventually climbed back over . . . got a big hug, as promised . . . and cried on Ron’s shoulder a little.  Then the video ends with them walking off the bridge together.

The Chandler, Arizona police department posted the footage on their Facebook page this week.  And they thanked Ron for the level of compassion he showed the guy.

YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS UP……………

There’s a 49-year-old guy from Detroit whose real name is HENRY FORD.  He’s not related to THE Henry Ford though. And . . . he’s wanted right now for car theft.

He’s been in and out of prison for stealing things cars and stuff inside them for decades.

He was locked up recently for stealing GPS units out of cars, but was released.  And then he cut off his ankle monitor, mailed it back to the Michigan Department of Corrections, and stole the tires off a car.

The police are trying to track him down.

——————————————————————————
There’s a 55-year-old guy whose real name is Kevin Bacon from Wells River, Vermont.  And he was driving last Thursday afternoon when he accidentally sideswiped a parked COP CAR.

Why did he hit the cop?  Kevin Bacon was looking at his phone searching for . . . an episode of “Saved by the Bell” he wanted to watch.

Luckily for us, he even told the cops WHICH episode he wanted and they included it in their police report.  It was the episode called “Screech’s Spaghetti Sauce,” where the gang bottles and sells a spaghetti sauce Screech makes in a cooking class.

It’s not clear WHY Kevin Bacon wanted to watch that episode . . . or why it was so important that he had to do it while he was driving.

He was arrested and charged with gross negligent operation of a vehicle, leaving the scene of a crash, and texting while driving.

RED CROSS SAYS ONLY 3 PERCENT OF US POPULATION DONATE BLOOD

The Red Cross in the U.S. launched its Missing Type campaign (June 11th) in an effort to get more people to donate blood in the U.S.

The Red Cross says just three percent of Americans donate blood, which leaves many in dire need of help.

It’s not much better in Canada as according to Canadian Blood Services only 4% of eligible donors in Canada give blood.

THIS IS HOW OFTEN YOU SHOULD RESTART YOUR PHONE

Your phone is likely your most constant companion, but are you taking good care of it?

You might not think about ever shutting it off, but experts say you should completely turn it off, let it rest at least one minute, and then turn it back on once a week.

Restarting your phone clears open apps and memory leaks, prevents crashes, and gets rid of anything draining your battery.

Another tip: sometimes you should let your phone’s battery drain down to 0 percent, and then fully recharge it to 100 percent– this “teaches” the battery to recharge fully.

BRETT YOUNG ADMIRES HIS DAD’S ‘GENUINE EXCITEMENT’

Brett Young is hoping to inherit one of his dad’s best traits when it comes to raising his baby girl. [“I think the one thing about my dad aside from being supportive of everything that I’ve ever done no matter what it was is his genuine excitement. There are people you’re going to meet in your lives where they’re excited and pleasant all the time and it feels really fake and kind of contrived, and my dad borders on that. He’s so excited and pleasant all the time but it’s genuine every single time. He’s uplifting and encouraging and so that trait in him is what always made me believe I could do anything I wanted to do because he always told me I could and it seemed like he believed it so it made me believe it, so I hope that that’s something that I have for her.”]

Brett and his wife, Taylor, will welcome their new daughter this fall. She will be the couple’s first child.

In the meantime, Brett is climbing the charts with his new single, ‘Catch.”

FAST FACTS

Brett recently celebrated his fifth consecutive Number One hit, “Here Tonight.”

Dozens of Buffett Fans Got Sick During a Group Trip to the Dominican Republic

Something is definitely up with the Dominican Republic and foreign tourists . . . because even JIMMY BUFFETT fans are being affected.  A travel agent is now saying that about HALF of a Jimmy Buffett fan club from Oklahoma got sick in the Dominican Republic back in April. And it’s a big group.  He said 54 out of the 114 visitors fell ill.

At the time they thought it was just food poisoning . . . but the agent thinks that pesticides and insecticides may have also contributed.  Everyone has recovered, except one woman who’s still suffering from salmonella.

The CDC and FBI are in the Dominican Republic investigating.
